Happy 60th National Day Malaysia Merdeka Covers Sharing #1 The first flight cover below was made for the journey from Lydda, Israel to K7uala Lumpur, Malaysia to celebrate the independent of Malaysia Federation on 31 August 1957. The cover was sent registered in Lod Sede Teufe, Israel on 26 August 1957. It reached Singapore on 30 August and received in Kuala Lumpur on the next day, the Independent Day of Malaya and a green hexagon postmark dated was 31 August 1957 in front together with words "Arrived And Postmarked on 1st Day ". French and Hebrew words in circular were outside the hexagon.
Merdeka Covers Sharing #2 The Penang flag was first adopted in 1949 after Penang became a component state of the Federation of Malaya. The flag was slightly modified to its present form in the 1960s by removing a torse of blue and white at the bottom of the grassy mount.
Therefore Penang Flag is not printed on the cover as previously Penang flag was the British Crown Colony Flag before independent (1946-1957).

Design Varieties in Private First Day Covers of independence of Malaya
Two covers below have the identical design of Malaya map, torch and national flag of Malaya. The placing of the flag at the slight shift nearer to the map (top cover) while the other one at 2cm shift to the right. The top cover has no receiver nor address, which is uncommon during 1950s.
