The following postcard showing the 1980s view of the Magazine Junction and GAMA Supermarket.
Back to 80 years ago, the below postcard shows the early view of Magazine Junction. You can see a double storey police station on the left of the postcard, this is the exact location of present day GAMA Supermarket. You can also found a steam tramway in the postcard that drawn from Dato Keramat Road to Penang Road. An electric tram only introduced in 1906 later.
The below postcard shows a later view of Magazine Junction after 1906. An electric tram car moving in front of the police station.
The Magazine Junction is always a traffic problematic area due to having 6 roads crossing together. A first traffic signal was introduced around 1928. Below postcard shows a later view of the junction and you may see a roundabout.
Another view of the junction you may noticed a lot of cable inter-linked together for the electric tram and bus.
